Carra Miller practices Admiralty & Maritime Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation at Miller Smith, PLLC in Corpus Christi. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana. She became involved in SEALI as a law student and now serves as its Webmaster. She is the upcoming President of the Corpus Christi Bar Association, the Immediate Past President of the Texas Aggie Bar Association, a former President of the Corpus Christi Young Lawyers Association, and a former Director for the District 11 seat on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas, among other involvement in bar associations. Championing access to justice, she volunteers for and has promoted attorney participation in ABA Free Legal Answers, a virtual legal aid clinic, at the state and local levels. The American Bar Association has recognized her pro bono efforts. Carra’s interest in maritime law began as an undergraduate student pursuing her degree in Maritime Administration at Texas A&M University, where she took courses in Admiralty & Maritime Law and Marine Insurance Law. Carra has now taught each of those courses at Texas A&M at both the undergraduate and master’s levels. As a trial lawyer, Carra’s practice has spanned Texas and Louisiana.
