Chris is currently an associate at Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard, where he practices in the firm’s maritime section. Chris’ practice is primarily focused on Defense Base Act claims and Jones Act litigation.

Chris is a New Orleans attorney with a Civil Law JD from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he served on the Loyola Law Review and was an active member of the Maritime Law Society. During law school, Chris was recognized with the Editorial Board Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Law Review Member and the Best Casenote Award for his work “Confusion is a Potent Weapon: Unravelling of the Clean Water Act,” a discussion of Sackett v. EPA and the Supreme Court’s narrowing of environmental regulations through textualist-adjacent methodology.

Prior to law school, Chris spent nearly a decade serving the New Orleans community as an educator and school administrator. Originally hailing from Massachusetts, Chris found his way to New Orleans as an Americorps volunteer in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and has made the crescent city his home for the last 20 years.

Outside of the office, Chris is an avid fan of sports, particularly the New England Patriots and US Men’s National Soccer Team, as well as all of the art, music, and festivals that New Orleans has to offer.
