Jason R. Harris
represents and advises clients in a variety of admiralty and maritime law
matters as well as general litigation, transportation, and construction matters
– most concern serious bodily injuries, fatalities, casualties, marine salvage,
wreck removal, catastrophic property damage events, and construction
disputes. He earned his B.A. from Auburn University, his J.D. from Wake
Forest University and his LL.M. in Ocean & Coastal Law from The University
of Miami School of Law. During school he served in the Alabama and Army
National Guard. With the exception one year when he was general counsel
to an international wreck removal and salvage company, Jason has practiced in
North Carolina for 25 years. He lives in Wilmington near Wrightsville
Beach and is an equity partner with Farrell Smith O’Connell Aarsheim Aprans,
LLP. When he isn’t actually in a tree stand you’ll find him trying to
figure out how to practice law from one.
