Emily Sellers is an associate at Lau Lane,
Pieper, Conley, & McCreadie, P.A., where she focuses her practice on
maritime law, including a wide range of maritime casualties, Jones Act and
LHWCA claims, collisions, allisions, and other marine liability and commercial
disputes. Emily earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from
Auburn University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from the University of
Florida College of Law. She began her legal career as an Assistant Public
Defender with the Office of the Public Defender, 13th Judicial Circuit of
Florida in Tampa, where she spent two years representing clients in a variety
of criminal cases and gaining significant courtroom experience. Emily is a
member of the Leadership Academy for the Hillsborough County Women’s Law
Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and enjoys serving her
community through her membership with the Junior League of Tampa.
